How a Runschmiede bot is built and runs
Here I explain in detail what a bot actually does, what it is made of and what happens between your order and the first /start.
What bots are for
A bot is a program that shows up in your messenger like an ordinary contact. You send it a command or tap a button, and it does something: a search, an answer, a reminder. It is available at night too and never has a bad day.
Three examples of where a bot pays off:
- In a community
- A Discord server with a few thousand members can no longer be kept clean by hand. The bot welcomes new people, has them solve a captcha, deletes ads instantly and keeps a log of who was warned and when.
- In a team
- Colleagues ask in chat about the holiday policy or the current price list. The bot finds the answer in your documents, summarises long conversations and puts appointments into the calendar.
- With customers
- Many customers would rather send a WhatsApp message than an email. The bot answers the most common questions, books appointments and takes orders, even after hours.
What a bot is made of
Every bot is built in four layers. It sounds technical, but the reason is simple: when you add an add-on or a messenger changes its rules, only one layer needs to change.
Platform connector
Talks to Telegram, WhatsApp and the others. It makes sure your menu fits everywhere: buttons on Telegram and Discord, a list on WhatsApp, a numbered text menu on Signal, Threema and Matrix.
Core bot
The foundation every bot has: main menu, custom commands and replies, in-chat admin functions and a log in case something goes wrong.
Add-ons
Single features such as anti-spam, Gmail or the AI assistant. Each add-on gets its own entry in the main menu and can be switched on and off individually.
Settings
Texts, menus and rules you set in the Control Panel. The bot applies changes right away, without being rebuilt.

The Bot Factory
The Bot Factory is a bot itself, but one that programs other bots. It reads what you ordered in the shop, takes the matching building blocks, adapts them to your messenger and starts the finished bot on my servers.
It takes care of each platform’s quirks. WhatsApp, for example, allows at most three reply buttons, so the factory builds a list menu there instead.
For you, this means every bot is made from the same proven parts. That is faster and more reliable than writing each bot by hand, and it is why I can keep prices low.

Why I do this
I built Runschmiede because I enjoy it. I like technology that simply works, so you don’t have to think about it. Bots are a really good tool for that, and I wanted to offer them in a way that anyone can use without programming.
